About This Website
The intent of this website is to document four family names, those of my paternal grandparents
(Murrah and Bartley) and my maternal grandparents (Daily and Mitchell). As of now, only the
Murrah family has been expanded here. It has been fun but no small undertaking. Fortunately, I have
had plenty of help accumulating the data.
Firstly, the two family trees (Murrah and Daily) on the original site were put together by my sister-in-law Susie Murrah with assistance from her husband (my brother) Dale. Susie has spent years in genealogy searches of many family names. She has also given me the Bartley family tree which is next on the list for this project.
Secondly, my Aunt Dorothy Murrah Stark and cousin Gary Murrah have spent countless hours searching family photo albums to provide most of the photos used here. Plus their many emails, along with those from Uncle Dalton Murrah and my brothers, provided names and stories in support of the pictures.
Many thanks to all who have had a hand in the development of this site. I hope you will enjoy viewing the pages depicting the Bailey County, Texas farm lives of our families and those families who became related through marriage. Do not hesitate to bring to my attention additional information and/or correction of any data misrepresented.
